Today I am sharing a mini version of the famous open faced Hot Brown created in the 1920’s at the Brown Hotel in Kentucky. Cover a small baking sheet with parchment. Place the phyllo shells on the parchment. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 325°F.
Make the Mornay Sauce Filling
Whisk the flour, pepper, salt, and paprika in a small bowl. Set aside.
Add the butter into a medium frying pan and melt. Add the flour mixture and whisk in until combined and thickened. Pour in the milk, Stir in the cheese until melted.
Stir in the turkey, tomatoes, and bacon.
Mini Hot Brown Assembly
Spoon into the phyllo shells. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
Serve warm.
