Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a cake pan with a parchment circle and spray with flour baking spray.
Cut pears into halves and carefully scoop out the cores with the back of a small spoon. Remove stem. Cut the pears diagonally into 1/4 inch thick slices. Set aside.
Add the flour, baking powder, and salt into a small bowl and whisk to combine. Set Aside.
In a medium bowl, add the butter and sugar and mix at medium speed until fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla.
Carefully add the flour and milk. On low speed mix until just combined.
Pour the Sweet Pear Cake batter into the prepared pan and gently spread to the edges.
Starting at the edge of the pan, arrange the pear slices in a circle. Be careful not to press them into the batter. Complete with an inner circle barely overlapping the outer sweet pear slices.
Have fun sprinkling on the Belgian Pearl Sugar.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a knife comes out clean from the cake.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Carefully flip onto a cake plate. Add another sprinkle of Belgian pearl sugar.
