Ingredients
  

The Pie

  • 10 inches pie crust thawed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3/4 chocolate chips
  • 1 1/4 cups toasted pecan halves

Garnishes

  • fresh mint leaves
  • whipped cream

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees°.
  • Carefully place the pie crust in a pie plate. Crimp the edges with a fork. Place it back in the refrigerator to cool.
  • In a large mixing bowl using a hand mixer on medium, whip the butter, sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, and vanilla until frothy. The mixture will be a lovely frothy tan color.Fold in the chocolate chips and pecans.
  • Pour into the prepared cold pie crust and bake for 55 to 60 minutes until set.
  • Remove from oven and let cool.
  • Give it a dollop of fresh whipped cream!  Add a mint sprig! Serve!
