Ernest Hemingway described mornings as “starting well, just as the sun began rising.” He began each day with a morning routine and began writing as the sun came up.

Point Your Day Towards Happy!

Five Tips For A Healthy Morning Routine

Tip #1  HYDRATE YOUR BODY BEFORE YOUR FEET HIT THE FLOOR.

Your body becomes dehydrated after six to eight hours of sleeping. By drinking water you immediately begin to rehydrate, purify your internal system, and kickstart your body with energy. That is right! Water gives you energy. Before you go to bed at night, place a glass or bottle of water beside your bed. When you wake, drink your water. PS Check out these fun ways to drink water.

Tip #2 NOURISH YOUR BODY.

A healthy breakfast will fuel and energize your body as well as improve concentration and strength. If you skip breakfast, you will be exhausted in no time. A sugary quick bite won’t do the trick. Think quality proteins, slow sugars, and vitamins. Here are a few options.

Proteins: Eggs (high-quality protein), kale, boiled peas, black beans, oatmeal, peanut butter (Did you know peanut butter slows down the absorption of sugar in fruit?), almonds, walnuts, non-fat Greek yogurt, turkey, and salmon.

Slow Sugars: Strawberries, blueberries, bananas, pineapple, raspberries, apples, and kiwi fruit.

Beverages: Coffee, hot tea, hot water with lemon and ginger, low sugar fruit juice, milk, or more water.

Vitamins: Daily vitamins supplement what your body needs throughout the day. They are important to your overall longterm health.

Don’t know what you need? Here is a fantastic solution! CARE/of will design a personalized vitamin pack just for you. Every vitamin packet comes with your name and a daily challenge written on the front. Get 25% OFF your first month with code: CHARM25 (EXPIRED)

Tip #3 WAKE YOUR MIND AND SPIRIT

All it takes is five to ten minutes to clear and reset your mind. Consider sitting quietly on the floor with your palms upwards and eyes closed taking long deep breaths for five minutes, pray, or try journaling your thoughts for 10 minutes.

Tip #4 GET THAT BODY MOVING.

It is important to get your muscles warmed and your circulatory system in gear for the day. If you have thirty minutes plus for a morning workout that is wonderful! If you do not have the time, get creative and keep it simple. Do jumping jacks and a few counter push-ups in the kitchen while your coffee brews, dance in the shower, briskly walk your dog around the block, march around your home, take the stairs verses an escalator, or park further away and walk.

Bonus Tip…

Tip #5 CLEANSE YOUR BODY MOVE YOUR BODY

Avoid skipping a morning bath or shower to start your day. The water on your skin will invigorate you. Add aroma therapy, place a few different scented body washes or soaps in your shower to mix things up.

YOU deserve a great start every single day. These tips can be arranged and scheduled in any order to fit your lifestyle. I encourage you to give these five steps a shot and see how differently your day goes.
