Bento boxes seem to be the latest trend in packing a lunch on the go. They are everywhere. Recently while perusing the Container Store in Seattle, I was in search of lucite boxes for storing and displaying natural treasures. (Stay tuned for: What do you collect? Treasures from Nature.)
…I found these pretty clear lucite boxes with brushed gold lids. Perfect! As I was waiting in line to checkout, I spotted a box of Gifted Elastic Ribbon Bands next to a variety of plastic Bento Boxes. Bingo! The inspiration for the DIY Bento Box came to be…
The DIY is self explanatory.
1. Purchase the Clear Boxes/Brushed Gold Lids and the Gifted Elastic Ribbon Bands. (The lucite boxes also come in Brushed Rose Gold and Brushed Silver. #Decisions!)
2. Wash and dry them thoroughly.
3. Add your favorite foods.
4. Add a Gifted Elastic Ribbon Band.
AND VOILA! You have a darling set of DIY Bento Boxes!

I would like to give a little shout out to this darling man I call my husband. He has made more trips to Hobby Lobby, Home Depot, and TJ Max for SparklingCharm.com than many men could tolerate. …Always interested in what is going on in my brain. Here is a photo I caught from a distance while he waits patiently at the Container Store. #BESTILLMYHEART #CuteThing!
