Christmas on the Flint River Eggnog, The Best Homemade Eggnog Ever
If you are a fan of eggnog, this is the recipe for you!
Today I am sharing a favorite recipe from my family to yours. Enjoyed by a warm fire on the Flint River in Georgia at Christmas, this creamy, delicious, and decadent dessert will definitely add a SPARKLE to the celebration.
You are going to need a spoon!

The Best Homemade Eggnog Ever
12 large fresh eggs
1 quart whipping cream
1 box 10x powdered sugar
1 cup bourbon (I prefer Markers Mark. Avoid using blended whiskey. Bourbon is a straight whiskey.)
crushed peppermint (Line the rim of the glass or sprinkle on top,)
cinnamon sticks or powdered cinnamon
Sparkling Charm Sugared Cranberries, garnish
Wash all utensils thoroughly.
In two separate large mixing bowls, separate the egg yolks from the egg whites.
Set the egg whites aside.
With a hand mixer on medium speed, mix the egg yolks until they turn a lovely custard yellow. Slowly beat in the bourbon. Set aside.
Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Slowly mix in the powdered sugar until it is well blended. Set aside.
On high-speed, mix the whipping cream until stiff peaks are formed.
Fold the egg white mixture and the whipped cream together. Next, gently fold in the egg mixture until it is a solid color.
Pour into a crystal punch bowl or a pitcher. Serve with a silver spoon.
Garnish with peppermint sticks, crushed peppermint, a cinnamon stick, powdered cinnamon, a sprinkle of nutmeg, or Sparkling Charm Sugared Cranberries.
Christmas on the Flint River Eggnog can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Simply give it a stir before serving. Left overs can be frozen and eaten as ice cream.
